REKNATION RP

Server
Rules.

RekNation RP is built around serious, creative and enjoyable roleplay. These rules exist to protect the quality of the community and make sure everyone has room to build meaningful stories.

BEFORE YOU PLAY

Roleplay first.

The goal is not to win every situation. The goal is to create good roleplay, accept consequences and contribute to stories that other players can enjoy too.

COMMUNITY STANDARD

Core Rules

8 Sections
01

Stay In Character

Once you log into a character, serious roleplay is active. Remain in character and treat the world, situations and other players as part of the ongoing story.

  • Do not intentionally break character during active roleplay.
  • Do not use out-of-character information to influence in-character decisions.
  • Allow scenes to develop naturally instead of forcing outcomes.
02

Do Not Force Roleplay

Roleplay should involve choices, reactions and consequences. Do not force another player into a specific outcome without giving them a reasonable opportunity to respond.

  • Do not dictate another player's actions or reactions.
  • Do not create situations where another player has no reasonable RP options.
  • Use creativity and communication to build scenes rather than trying to 'win' them.
03

Police Interaction

Police are part of the world, not a content generator. Roleplay should not revolve around deliberately provoking law enforcement for constant chases or fights.

  • Do not cop bait.
  • Do not repeatedly hit robberies or heists simply to create interaction with police.
  • Create roleplay with civilians, businesses, gangs and other characters without always involving PD.
04

Crime & Consequences

Crime should involve planning, risk and consequences. Being caught is part of the story.

  • If police catch you after a robbery or heist, accept the consequences of the situation.
  • Do not try to replace being caught with fist fights, races, competitions or similar challenges to avoid consequences.
  • Avoid repetitive robbery farming with little or no roleplay value.
  • Criminal roleplay should create stories, relationships and meaningful risk.
05

Value Life & Situations

Treat your character's life and dangerous situations seriously. Decisions should make sense for the circumstances your character is facing.

  • Respond realistically when your character is clearly at risk.
  • Do not behave recklessly simply because game mechanics allow it.
  • Give injuries, threats and serious situations appropriate roleplay.
06

Respect Other Players

Everyone is here to create stories together. Keep disagreements about roleplay separate from personal attacks.

  • Harassment, discrimination and targeted personal abuse are not acceptable.
  • Do not use roleplay as an excuse for out-of-character hostility.
  • If a situation becomes an OOC issue, use the proper staff/report process instead of escalating it in-game.
07

Fair Play

Do not use exploits, external information or unintended mechanics to gain an unfair advantage.

  • No exploiting bugs or game mechanics for advantage.
  • No metagaming.
  • No stream sniping or using external streams to locate players.
  • Report serious exploits to staff rather than abusing them.
08

Creative Roleplay

RekNation is built around long-term storytelling. Players are expected to create roleplay instead of waiting for staff or emergency services to create it for them.

  • Build relationships, rivalries, deals, businesses and character stories.
  • Create scenes with civilians and other groups.
  • Give your character goals beyond money, robberies and winning fights.
  • Allow stories to develop over time.
